Becoming Kings and Queens

This presentation was originally delivered last fall at the “Latter-day Disciples” conference. It is one of the most important things I’ve ever put together.

There is a great work lying before us. Each must decide for him or herself whether they will rise to the occasion or be cast out as salt that has lost its savor. The world is coming apart at the seams; the Savior’s path alone will empower us to hold it together, but doing so will reorder it around His love.

  1. Thank you for the incites and examples. I have wondered how we can fill the covenant of consecration made in the temple, to consecrate all. Your presentation gave me some additional thoughts on that. I could relate well to your example of a tree and branches. I am one of the owners of a tree farm that supplies many trees to city foresters for streets and parks. We particularly take care in developing a superior root system along with a straight central leader with properly spaced lateral branching. Thus, the trees can better absorb snow, ice, storms, etc. Because the trees do so well, the foresters order more and more. They tell other foresters which do likewise. This example fits well with your concepts of how our examples can affect others, which affect others, and so on, until many are affected.
